Texas Hold’em

Omaha Poker

There are two types of omaha: pot limit and fixed limit. The only real difference between these two is that in pot limit, there is no limit on how much players can bet on each turn – things can get pretty wild!

Omaha Hi/Lo
Omaha Hi/Lo is similar to Texas Hold’em, except each player has four hole cards rather than two. The best five-card high hand and low hand split the pot at showdown. Aces count as both high and low, so the best possible low hand is A-2-3-4-5. If there’s no qualifying low hand, the high hand scoops the pot.

Seven Card Stud
Seven card stud was once the most popular version of poker until texas hold’em came along and stole its thunder. This isn’t a bad thing per se; seven card stud is still a very fun game that’s easy to learn. In Seven Card Stud, each player receives seven cards throughout the course of the hand and must use only five to make their final hand (as opposed to both Texas Hold’em and Omaha.

Also known as Seven Card Stud Low, Razz is a seven-card stud game where players try to make the best five card low hand from their seven cards. Straights and flushes don’t count against you for low so the best possible hand is A-2-3-4-5 (the “wheel” or “bike”). Like Omaha Hi/Lo, if there’s no qualifying low.
